A letter bomb on the 22nd floor of the London Stock Exchange wounded the secretary general George W.R. Brind and his secretary Joanna Knight as part of a six day wave of bombs believed to target British offices. Scotland Yard suspects Irish Republican Army involvement. Earlier, Prime Minister Edward Heath’s No. 10 Downing Street received a booby trapped book bomb defused without injuries.
