Policeman dies in Kansas City traffic crash

Tack Lippincott of Ramada Inn reported thieves pried doors, two soda machines, and a tank with an undetermined coin loss. Cletus Mahan of 611 Margaret St. said Sunday night a screen on a window was used to gain entry and about $4 in Wingy bank notes were missing.

Syrian MIG17 pilots surrender to Israel at northern base
TEL AVIV AP Two Syrian Air Force pilots flew a MIG17 across the frontier today and surrendered at an air base in northern Israel. An army spokesman said the planes and pilots are in good condition. One pilot was a captain, the other a lieutenant, the army added.

Faen B. Albach 85 of Webster Groves Mo died in a head on collision with a vehicle driven by Joseph D Purcell 26 Muskegon Mich on Missouri 68 five miles north of Salem Monday morning. Purcell wife Lois Jean 20 were injured and taken to Roll hospital for treatment of severe shock and reactions. Albach pronounced dead at the scene by the Dent County coroner.

Jefferson City filed Monday in Cole County Circuit Court to annex Area F into the city. If unopposed, Area F could join Areas B D and E for the November election.
