OPA Hikes Price Of Work Shirts
Washington August 7 AP OPA authorized two to three cent retail increases for cotton flannel work shirts effective August 12 under the old price control law. Further cotton clothing price hikes of six to eight percent under the new law will go into effect soon. Also effective August 12 OPA fronted a 1316 percent rise in oil cloth ceilings and a five percent retail increase for vegetable and fruit insecticide sprays.
