Hail Hail Song To Be Cleaned By Local Society
Morgantown residents report the Christian Endeavor Society aims to remove the word hell from the tune What the hell do we care as they seek to ban the line in public performances. Miss Mary Matten and others will ask Mayor Grenningger and Chief Yoke to prohibit its use on streets and in public gatherings. The issue arises from widespread familiarity with the song among all ages as a victory cheer.
