At a meeting the Melvin Chapel congregation voted to erect a new Me thodist Protestant church on the Dawson lot at East and Reynolds streets for 6000 to 8000 dollars. A building committee was named and Rev Wilbur M Snyder eyed to stay as pastor as the church becomes self sustaining with support from Maryland Conference. The move follows growing membership and the plan includes a modern larger facility opposite the public school.
