Brown & Sons Answer 10 Shriver Suit in Bond Case
Cumberland city officials filed an answer to Henry Shriver's bill seeking to block a $150,000 bond sale to Alexander Brown and Sons. The city and Brown & Sons deny fraud and assert the bid was proper and in the public interest. The suits allege the case is used by Baker Watts and Co. to advantage a disappointed bidder.
