Review of Congress for the Year 1914
Washington reports one of the busiest sessions in U.S. history ending with the New Year recess. Major actions include the Federal Reserve system, Alaska railroad funding, trust-busting measures, war emergency bills, and a war tax plan. The year saw battles over immigration, oil and water power leasing, and government ownership themes.
