Bevan welcomes back Mr. and Mrs. H Stant as residents. Beattie drove to Duncan Sunday and returned Monday. J L Brown left Monday for two weeks at Nelson. Ells couple returned Friday night from their honeymoon. W Palmer of Victoria left Thursday after visiting his sister Mrs Shields. Bevan beat Union Bay 4 to 0 in a Sunday football match.

Girls' High School Club Votes for Assistants and Fees
The Girls' High School Club held a regular meeting on Thursday September 21 at 7 PM in the schoolroom. Members of the Literary committee will appoint assistants who will arrange programs. basketball practice plans and a membership fee were discussed and fixed.
Comox Agricultural and Industrial Association Holds Meeting
The Comox Agricultural and Industrial Association reviewed exhibits and proposed improvements for future shows. Donations were offered for a district prize cup, and plans discussed for a district exhibit at the Comox Fall Fair. Grounds for purchase were proposed at $800 an acre, with a general meeting set for March to plan the next fair.
