Crown Preparing for Third Trial in Murder Case

Courtenay Clean-Up Day Brings City Together
Courtenay held a Wednesday Clean-Up with Fire Chief Thomson, Mayor Simms, and aldermen leading a tour of the business district to collect refuse and clear alleys and basements. Heroic nurse honored by hospital and company
A Cumberland General Hospital notice recalls the six week illness and death of nurse Alexander Walker, a veteran of the 88th Battalion who served overseas and later worked with Canadian Collieries. The community honors include a funeral, Knights of Pythias and Great War Veterans participation, and tributes to Nurse Bolatti who leaves Cumberland with gifts from the hospital, company and staff.
