Denman Island Team Falls to Comox 28 17 in Basketball
The Denman Island basketball team and supporters visited Comox on Thursday via The Charmer and were defeated 28 to 17. After a close first half 11 to 10 favored Comox, Denman proved unable to overcome Comox’s quick passing and teamwork. A rematch on Denman Island will be announced, with a possible ladies game. On Sunday November 12 a Denman party including H. Piercy A. Swan and B. Fulton attended the Courtenay unveiling of the war memorial.
