Wellington on Run Charters Collier to Carry BC Lumber

After years of idleness the Wellington owned by Canadian Collieries Ltd. is chartered for a Atlantic cargo run. She will haul about 1,200,000 feet of British Columbia fir from Genoa Bay to New York, via Panama, under Capt. Melville F. Cutler. The ship has undergone overhaul at Union Bay and is expected to berth Genoa Bay today and sail late month.

The body of Hans Swanson, one of three drowned at Oyster River on May 23, was recovered on Tuesday morning by Richard Coe Sr. An inquest at Courtenay returned a verdict of accidental drowning.
