May 29 Union Bay reports the plane Seagull piloted by Mr. Huber, en route to meet the Ss. Alaskan with Amundsen films, forced to return to Union Bay due to engine trouble. Films were taken to Victoria by car after the halt. The Seagull, after overhaul, resumed southbound flight at eight on Sunday. 8s Shearmont docked at Coal Wharf and headed to load bunker coal.
