Local Youth Assaults Chinaman in Chinatown
Saturday evening three or four youths entered Chinatown and tried to buy beer. When refused one allegedly struck the Chinaman. The assailant was summoned, brought before Magistrate Baird, pleaded guilty and fined $15 plus $4.25 costs.

Ronald Derbyshire Dies After Short Illness
