The article from The Cumberland Islander on January 29, 1926 muses on fatalism and strange twists of fate. It cites incidents from Vancouver to Brooklyn, including a man blown through a wall unharmed, a throne of accidental deaths, and a baby surviving a fall when landing on a dog. It argues such stories ease fear and promotes carrying accident and life insurance.
