Cumberland 1916 City Council sworn in and organized
The new Cumberland City Council, Mayor and Aldermen, plus School Trustees, were sworn in by Police Magistrate Edward W. Bickle. The session adopted the prior minutes and heard reports on delinquent taxes. Committees were named and officers appointed, including a $100 health officer salary and a plan to borrow $3000 for current expenses. Sergeant John Brown's transfer was corrected to No. 2 Tunnelling Company.
