H. E. Murray of Cumberland Public School barely escaped serious injury when his Chevrolet Coupe collided with a fast touring car at the Cumberland road Island Highway crossing near Roy's residence. Murray suffered only a small scratch while the other driver Rowley Nunns of Campbell River escaped uninjured. The crash caused damage to Murray's car and forced it off the road through a fence.

Dismiss Workmen Board Urged Overhaul by Labour Member
Victoria February 7. F A Browne labor member urged dismissal of the current Workmen's Compensation Board and replacement with a more competent panel of doctors. About twenty Holy Trinity W.A. delegates met at Mrs Treen’s home to hear reports from the Diocesan Board of the W.A. on the Victoria meeting. Couple Well Known Here Wed in Nanaimo
A Cumberland couple, Miss Annie gh daughter of Mr and Mrs J High, Wellington, and Mr William Hyde, were married in Nanaimo.
