Courtenay Citizens Hear Of Bentley Double Chemical Fire Engine
Courtenay residents listened to Mr. Warn of the Land and Financial Company Nanaimo describe the Bentley Double Chemical fire engine. The unit features fire tubes and a double tank system allowing a continuous water stream as one tank discharges while the other reloads in about eight minutes. A similar engine has been shipped from St Louis and is now en route to Courtenay.

Caretaker Cook Seeks Consultation On Street Repair
A city committee plans to work with the Dominion Public Works Department to relaid the post office sidewalk for a uniform grade.
