Local banquet yields speeches and music after a grand supper

Denman Island Man Dies After Illness At Cumberland Hospital
John Alex McMillan of Denman Island died at Cumberland Hospital on Monday the 27th following typhoid fever. He was 29, born on Denman Island, and lived with his parents all his life. He leaves a mother and father and two sisters, Margaret and Mable. A large funeral was held Wednesday at two o'clock, with Rev C K Kidd officiating, reflecting the deep community sorrow.
