Train Wreckers Burn Trestles Near Savannah
Train wreckers set fire to a trestle on the Savannah Florida and Western Railway about 50 miles west of Jacksonville on Saturday. A locomotive and fifteen cars burned as the bridge fell. No lives were lost. A second trestle nearby was ignited but halted by an oncoming train. All road trestles are guarded and investigators seek the wreckers.
