DeWitt County Historical Notes Meeting September 21 1971
DeWitt County Historical Survey Committee met Tuesday September 21 1971 in the DeWitt County Courtroom. The September close marks the end of the histori cal year. Reports were reviewed and an exhibit for the October 29 and 30 annual meeting in Del Rio was discussed. Mrs H N Henneke attended the National and State Conventions of the Home Demonstration Cubs in Dallas. Brochures for the DeWitt County Historical Surveys were placed in the aprons sent by the club.

DeWitt County HD Clubs Report On Restoration Conference
Mrs Henneke reported at the Winedale Restoration Conference September 10 11 attendance was high despite rain. Programs were well received with tours as planned. The Edward Magre home sold to Mr and Mrs Robert Schroeder of Victoria and will remain a residence. Dedication planned for October 1972. A site marker for St Mark's Lutheran Church is being pursued. The committee scrapbook was updated and a slide program on the History of the Presbyterian Church in DeWitt County was presented at the Women of the Church annual meeting.
