Town cleanup plan clashes with inlets dumping incident
Public Works Director Hercel Thompson cites a recent heavy rain as brush trash and household garbage dumped into the 48 inch storm sewer inlet at the Reuss Boulevard and Valley Street intersection causing yard floods. The grate clog was cleared and water drained. Thompson warns of possible prosecution if repeated. He notes a city free pickup runs this week and cites a tip to identify the responsible party. Also mentions USPS talks of postage increases with potential new rates next spring.
