Power Company Grants Grass Research at Weslaco Center
Central Power and Light Company awarded a 6500 grant to the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station and Extension Service for grass and legume forage research and demonstrations. The program funds a 2.75 acre site near the Texas A&M Weslaco Center, led by Dr. Richard R. Hoverson, with CPL and A&M providing land and support since 1949.
