Rotary meeting compares nursing homes to hospitals
At the El Patio Restaurant the Rotary Club discussed nursing homes versus hospitals. Jack Walker, administrator of Retama Manor, noted Texas has built more nursing homes in the last decade than any other state and that such homes provide care at about one fourth the cost of hospital care, freeing hospital beds for the critically ill. May Sexton in London received a free pardon and had her £12 fine refunded for not disclosing her age to police in a drinking offense.
