Leonard Aitkens Hits Grand Slam Feat At Goliad
Sports writer notes a remarkable moment as Leonard Aitkens of Skipper Hopkins Trotter outfield belts a home run in Goliad on Sunday, describing his first batting appearance, a walk, and a shouting finish. The piece also recalls a conflicting Houston Post note about Babe Ruth league playoffs for 13-year-olds in Eagle Lake, which Royce Berger had denied. It ends with the tournament that was not.
