Palm trees at Municipal Park face uncertain fate
City Manager Wil Cockrell says the old palm trees along the lake in Municipal Park would survive after removal in early summer heat, though visible new growth looks dead. A heed to watch out for sharp, young park visitors is noted as Town Talk hints at neighborhood concerns. A Massachusetts report describes a 10 year old calling police about four youths smoking pot at a home, while police dog training for scent detection is mentioned. A friendly black female dog with tan markings roams Municipal Park, seeming like a lost pet.
