Trustees To Meet Thursday For Cuero Junior High Bid Opening
Cuero Independent School District trustees meet Thursday night to open construction bids for the new 22 classroom junior high school and related additions. Architect Lynn Evans says bids will come from 10 to 15 contractors. The $1.4 million bond funded project follows 1969 voter authorization with bond sales delayed by market conditions. CISD recently bought 20 acres near Cuero High School for the site and water storage tank, paying $300 per acre, with a small acreage adjustment by the city. Clearing has begun near the tank site as road crews work on access.
