Three more irloads of lumber arrived Thursday for the O. Lewis Co. boosting total to six loads. A shop for sash doors and mouldings will be built as the Methodist Church nears completion on Layton Avenue. Work on cottages will proceed with urgency after preparations are finished.
R B Amies of Preston Wisconsin visited Friday and announced plans to buy two Layton avenue lots. He plans a three story building with a grocery on the ground floor and upper offices for rent, aiming to establish in Cudahy.
Work on the new M. E. church started last week on Swift near Van Norman avenues. The 26 by 50 foot building seats 200, faces east, and follows the Fernwood chapel design. B. A. Eaton holds the contract and aims to finish by mid February.
