Public Gambling Prohibition Enacted in City Ordinance
City council adopts a ordinance banning card playing dice wheel of fortune or any gambling device in public or business premises. Violation deemed a misdemeanor with fines up to twenty five dollars. Effective upon approval and publication in the Cubas Pilot. Passed September 6 1887. Attest.
