School closed June 24 at Euheka schoolhouse. Miss Blies has gone to Holton for summer school. Corn plowing nearly done. the reaper is busy as chinch bug threatens grain. corn is harvested as rye is cut.
Regular session opened with Mayor presiding. Members Tohey Dormon Kuchera Bunte Etherton present. Appointments approved for Clerk Jno Goeller Treasurer I S Shimek and a Marshal to be hired. Mayor authorized to set salary and seek legal assistance in city case, with next report expected.
Clerk authorized to draw a barrnst on the Teasater for the amount. Motion carried to adjourn until July 6 at 4:00 p.m. John Goeller.

The Daily Nebraska State Journal plans major enhancements for the coming year doubling telegraph service and widening its reach across the state. A perfected press will print 15 000 copies daily enabling early morning delivery nine tenths of state post offices, with broader stock market and grain quotations via telegraph. The paper will add a Sunday section and emphasize agricultural, horticultural, educational, household, fashion, and general interest content.
