HAD LOTS OF MONEY.Ed Randall, formerly of Montpelier, and who has played a prominent part in police circles in this city recently, had a whole lot of fun in his own sweet way Tuesday. Early Tuesday morning Ed began filling up and that afternoon while he was not drinking He was ready to do most anything, is first move was to go to the Studa-ker bank where he drfew oiifi*sTVhral thousand dollars in small bills. These he took to the .Joe Hartman saloon and placed loosely in a market basket. He then declared his intention of buying out 0. W. Cotton against whom he holds a spite because of the stand Mr. Cotton has taken in the saloon fight. He fore finding him he called at each of the newspaper oilices and made a tlasli of his money, telling what it would buy for him and to what use he intended putting it. While the money looked real nice to the entire force, Ed did not let any of it get out of his basket. In his demon* strabions he got very noisy and the marshal took him in charge until he quieted down somewhat.
