Young oil field worker struck by falling weight near Geneva
Harvey Penn of east of Phoenix, a contractor in the oil field, was seriously injured Thursday at the Apple farm near Geneva when an eight to ten pound iron weight broke loose from a drill line and struck him on the back of the head. He was treated at Petroleum by Dr. Saunders for a severe scalp wound and will be unable to work for a week or more. If the weight had struck squarely, the man could have been killed.
