Inmate Returned To CustodyFORT MADISON (UPI) — An inmate of the state penitentiary here who walked away from a work crew Saturday afternoon was back in custody Sunday after being apprehended in nearby Keokuk.Authorities said Robert Cloke, 33, of Birmingham, Iowa, was recaptured about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in Keokuk.Prison officials said Cloke was an inmate in one of the prison farms at the penitentiary when he walked away from the facility Saturday. Officers said Cloke was discovered missing when a head count was taken at 1 p.m.Local police, Iowa highway patrol t.roopers and sheriffs officers conducted the search fur Cloke. who is serving a 10-year sentence for breaking and entering.
