Rev. Homer Baumgardner leaves Creston after three years as pastor of the First Methodist church. Rev. Charles W. Graham, 41, will replace him and bring four children, a Ohio University education, and leadership as vice president of the Methodist Union of Greater Cincinnati. Baumgardner’s ministry brought 265 new members and active duty in the local Ministerial Alliance. The exchange places him near Cincinnati as his home.

An out of town man arrested in Creston last evening was fined 15 dollars plus costs when arraigned in the mayor's court this morning on a charge of intoxication. A marriage license was issued to Bernard J Staftens 21 and Pauline Bannick 22 both of Cumberland. Religious Life Emphasis week is sponsored by the Ministers Alliance with cooperation from churches and the Salvation Army. Cottage prayer meetings are held each evening in 16 homes across the city.
