Chicago futures opened up but faced a pullback as Argentine crop prospects dampened prices while Liverpool advances spur buying, and corn and oats weakened on expected larger yields. Hog prices firmed slightly as provisions moved.
Raw sugar firng climbs 1 32 cents with Cuban at 3 4 percent duty paid. Refined sugar dealings adjust on a end to end basis with quotes from 5 05 to 5 10 for granulated.
From Omaha and Minneapolis market notes, wheat prices steady to slightly down with No 2 yellow corn and No 2 white oats listed. Flour outlook shows a 19 cent drop in charges. barley and bran prices appear around 24.50 to 25.06 per unit.

At the East St. Louis market on October 31 horses and mules sold with draft horses priced around 130 to 160 dollars for good heavy pairs and 60 dollars for lesser types. Mules ranged from 50 to 226 dollars depending on size from 14.5 hands to 17 hands with prices between 50 and 190 dollars.

St Joseph Missouri cattle receipts show 200 head steady to firm with steer sales from 6.75 to 11.40, cows and heifers 3.25 to 12.00, calves 5.00 to 12.00. Hogs receipts 3,500 steady to 10 cents higher with top at 11.50 and bulk 10.90 to 11.25. Sheep receipts 1,000 steady with lambs 14.50 to 15.50 and ewes around 7.00.
New York Oct 31 The actual condition of clearing house banks and trust companies for the week shows excess reserve of 32 267 200 dollars an increase of 37 108 400 from last week when a deficit in reserve of 4 836 200 was reported.
In New York on October 31 coffee futures held steady with Rio No.7 at 193% and Santos No.4 at 23. Markets showed Dec at 18.36 and May around 17.1, reflecting stable demand as traders monitor supply signals.
