Desperate gunmen raided an armoured bank car in Buffalo New York killing driver Charles Clifford and wounding guard Lewis Yerrington and messenger John Meyers. The robbers fled with about $93 000 of cash from the transfer between the Federal Reserve and the Bank of Buffalo. A Marine Trust reward of 10000 was offered for information leading to arrests.

Reichert Receives 20 Year Sentence In Wife Kill Plot
A J Reichert transfer man was sentenced to twenty years after pleading guilty to attempting to kill his wife and youngest child. High School pupils from Creston attended the funeral of Lawrence England a junior class member at the Methodist church this afternoon. The DeMolay chapter conducted a ritual service after Rev Homer Baumgardner led the sermon. Burial followed at Gradland cemetery. Lawrence was killed Tuesday morning while hunting at Summit Lake.
