New Consolidated School Opens In Nevinville
The Consolidated Independent School District of Nevinville opened a new one story with basement school building. Architect Clarence L. Yule of Creston supervised the design. General construction by Hintz Construction of Creston with local firms handling plumbing electrical and excavation. The building includes gymnasium manual training domestic science classrooms and fireproof features. District praise for the board and progress for the children.

Columbia Club Elects Officers and Adopts Bylaws
The newly organized Columbia club held its semi monthly meeting at K of C hall with about twenty five members present. Emmett McCoy served as temporary chairman. EE McEntry outlined bylaws which the group unanimously adopted. John Leininger and Eugene Geis joined. a football team was formed with Robert Ahern captain Emmett McCoy manager and Eddie Harvey coach. Food wrestling and boxing exhibitions followed. The next meeting is the first Monday in November.
