Arraign Two For Violation of Harrison Narcotic Act
David Campbell of Grinnell Iowa and Allen Crawford of Waterloo Iowa were arraigned in Creston before U S Commissioner John C Hunt on narcotics possession under the Harrison Drug Act. They waived to the Grand Jury, were held on 500 bond each, and a 80 year old mother sought 42 bonds for her son. They had been arrested in Lamona during a nighttime office robbery of Dr. Hills and found with morphine sulphate tablets heroin tablets morphine shropine tablets and cocaine hydrochloride tablets. The narcotics were returned to Dr Hills. The pair were originally charged with breaking and entering and handed to federal authorities for the Harrison Drug Act case.
