Lindbergh to Return Home on Destroyer
The American embassy announced Capt. Charles A. Lindbergh will sail from Cherbourg on June 4 aboard the destroyer Breck and reach New York around June 14. In London he was decorated by King George V with the air force cross and honors from France and Belgium after recounting his Atlantic flight.

Lincoln township pioneer celebrates ninety years of life
W C Yard of Lincoln township, a Union County farmer and pioneer, marks his 90th birthday. Born May 31 1837 in Venango County Pennsylvania he endured hardship to study and began teaching before the Civil War. He married Eliza Stoner Willyard on Christmas Day 1858.

Burns Fatal To Sharpsburg Girl
Miss Helen Scott 17 of near Sharpsburg died in a St Joseph hospital from burns received when an open gasoline can exploded during a late night car fueling on a country road. Ralph Shell, slightly burned, has recovered. Funeral services were held at 2 pm.

Turner Urges Patriotism at Public Defense Meeting
Dan Turner of Corning, Iowa, a noted political figure, addressed the Rotary Club at the Iowana hotel urging patriotism as the best defense. James A. Brady, long studying for the priesthood, is to be ordained at Santa Fe Cathedral New Mexico on Saturday June 11 with 7 am services.
