He outlined four types of life ships and four navigation needs, using the Bible as chart and Jesus Christ as compass with prayer as wireless. The ceremony precedes commencement Thursday with Dr Thomas J Kirby delivering the address.

Morris Couple Arrives in Creston for Wedding Trip
Locals Mr and Mrs A L Morris of Woodruff Kansas are guests at the Harshaw home 303 North Pine Creston after their Saturday wedding trip. The Morris party plans a train to New York then return to Woodruff where he is Burlington railroad agent. Funeral services were held Sunday in Afton for Mrs L M Walker who died at home Friday after months of ill health. Fire crews battled a barn fire at 507 South Birch Street Saturday nightgutting the structure and leaving lower walls standing.

Court Closes Here Until August Term
The jury returned a verdict of acquittal for Fred Teale a Loon banker found not guilty of accepting deposits in an insolvent bank. The Osceola district court term was delayed two weeks and jurors were discharged until August 22 when the next term opens. Judge Homer A Fuller and Judge A R Maxwell managed duties with various transfers and Saturday sessions for probate and motions.

Virginia Snoderly and Rex McGuigan were named Creston high school seniors by a clock at L. J. Wendel Jewelry. Each senior’s name appeared on the clock face and the hand would stop between two names. The clock halted between 1 and 5 a.m. today.

Seven Speeders Arrested Here
Seven motorists, arrested in Creston late yesterday, were released with warnings after appearing before Mayor George D Newcomb in police court this morning. All were first offenders, and all but one were from out of town. They were detained briefly and ordered to return for mayoral review.

Fred Teale of Leon was acquitted by a district court jury after a six hour, two weeks long trial on a charge of accepting deposits in an insolvent bank. The Farmers and Traders Bank of Leon closed in 1924. Decatur County bore all trial costs.
