The senior class at the high school received athletic scholastic and activity letters during senior class day. Five girls earned athletic letters for 500 points with Boortz Strunce both earning their second letters. Other letters went to Embree Chance Reckner Finefield Dwyer and six track honorees. Scholastic and scholarship letters honored top placers in contests and academics including Burns Harris Schultz Igoe Hawkins and Mayes Crane and Schultz again.

Announcement of the sale of the Snappy Lunch on North Maple Street to T. P. Welch of 605 West Irving Street was made today by owners Glenn Anderson of Creston and J. C. Taylor of Clarinda. Welch will take possession Thursday morning following a closing this afternoon. The lunch room has operated since December by Mr and Mrs Anderson who came from Whiting Kansas. their future plans are not announced.

State Ends Evidence In Teale Trial

Three Creston Women Injured in Des Moines Crash
Three Creston women were hospitalized in Des Moines after a car driven by Mrs. Jessie Hartman slid on loose gravel on a southwest Des Moines highway. PUPILS KILLED AS EXPLOSIVE SET BY MOVING FUSE
Bath Michigan May 18 state police probe into two explosions that wrecked a consolidated district school killing many. They found the cellar wired with more than 500 pounds of dynamite and that Andrew Kehoe the Clinton county farmer who died triggered the charge by firing a rifle into a box of explosives in his car. He had worked overnight to plant dynamite and wire the building then drove up and attached a wire from a bearmanut to the car engine before the blast.
