Circus Parade Opens Big Day for Community
Creston fans flocked to downtown as Robbins Bros circus opened a busy day. The noon parade drew 575 people, 327 horses, and a diverse menagerie through the streets. The afternoon crowd filled the big tent for a 30 piece band and a program headlined by Santa Claus in Fairyland and Montague with a grand cast and animals.

Recess Taken In Teale Trial In District Court
A halt was called at 3 oclock yesterday afternoon in the district court trial of Fred Teale of Leon charged with accepting deposits in an insolvent bank. A recess was taken until Monday morning to allow attorneys to spend Sunday at home and prepare for further evidence. Witnesses for the state included J J Matthews receiver of Farmers and Traders bank in Leon John Pixley William Hubbard Stephen Varger and James Baker of Decatur county. The trial began Monday on a change of venue from Decatur county and will likely occupy most of next week.
