Well known vocalists and musicians from Murray Zion and Creston performed three Music Week programs. Creston high school orchestra directed by E Keith Richter opened with recitals by Clifton Fiddick pupils and Charles A Hayden pupils, followed by Murray Zion and Creston artists. The program featured piano solos by Carroll Jennings Thomas Hawkins and Mrs Citton Fiddle and vocal selections by Phoebe Penn Melvin Fife Ruth Reeves Jack Moran Hope Hollister Darlene Johnson Clark Gatehouse and Helen Jackson. Zion male and female quartets drew hearty applause and two Zion soloists Mrs Rue Burnell and Carla Burnell sang soprano numbers.
