The trial of Fred Teale of Leon for accepting deposits in an insolvent bank began in district court on a venue from Decatur county. Lenox teen burned in gasoline explosion near party
Helen Scott a 17 year old Lenox area resident was severely burned when a bucket of gasoline ignited near a lantern as friends prepared to fill a car’s tank. A gust toppled the flame causing the blast and she was taken to University Hospital Iowa City for treatment.

An auxiliary to the Creston Burlington Veterans association was formed after a banquet at the I.O.O.F. hall.
