A Music Week program by out-of-town residents drew a large audience at the senior high school auditorium. Performers came from Afton Zion and Murray. Mrs. E. L. Carroll’s pupils from Creston performed at 4 15 p m with Evelyn Hughes and Mary McLeod. The Windmills of Holland operetta will be staged at 8 tonight by the junior high glee clubs under Miss Thelma Lane with costumes. The Creston Martial Band, joined by two visiting fifers, delighted the crowd in the afternoon and again in the evening downtown.

F P Clark died at 6 30 this morning at his home 1105 North Maple Creston after a year of ill health He moved from Kentucky to Union county in 1912 and lived in Spaulding township before moving to Creston in fall He is survived by a widow three sons and three daughters Masonic lodge members will assist at a 230 Sunday service at the Methodist church conducted by Rev C W Graham Interment will be at Prairie Lawn cemetery near Spaulding.

Former Resident Dies In Kansas
Word of the death of Sidney Day, formerly of Creston, Kansas, reached Creston friends today. The body will be brought to Creston for burial and arrive Saturday evening, to be taken to Dietrick’s funeral chapel. Funeral arrangements are not yet made. Mr Day lived in Kansas City for about 20 years and previously near Nevinville. He is survived by his widow and one son, Arthur, of Topeka.
