Automobiles driven by Roy Wade and F S Porter both of Creston were damaged late yesterday afternoon in a collision at Birch and Mills streets. Neither occupant was injured. The Wade car traveled east on Mills while the Porter car pushed south on Birch. Both cars turned over according to reports to Chief A C Loudon.

Mrs M M Dvorak, 42, is in critical condition after a clothing explosion while cleaning garments caught fire. Her daughter Margaret sustained burns to the head and hands as she and others attempted to extinguish the blaze. Three youths robbed the state bank of Palo at 10 30 a m forcing cashier J W McClintock to lie on the floor and binding him before escaping with about 2500 in cash. The robbers fled in an automobile. George McDonald was executed at Valleyfield jail after a 70 dollar theft and taxi driver Adelard Bouchard murder. A black flag rose hours after the verdict as reporters were kept outside and guards watched the scene. McDonald’s wife Doris Palmer McDonald had asked for prayers as the sentence was carried out.
