Kansas City reports butter with higher prices and mixed poultry quotes including heavy hens and roosters, with red river and Idaho russets quoted for seed and eating potatoes.
New York and St Louis reports list receipts and price changes for butter creamery extras firsts and runs, cheese and milk flat prices, and poultry with mixed movements. Fresh firsts and standards rise in some lines while others hold or fall. turkeys, ducks and geese prices differ by category and region.
On March 22 in St. Louis hay values held firm with No 2 timothy at 18.00 to 19.00, No 2 light clover mixed 17.00 to 19.00, No 2 heavy clover mixed 20.00 to 21.00, and choice alfalfa at 28.00 to 29.00.
Kansas City report shows stable hay prices with 50 cars receipts._values include alfalfa No. 1 at 19.00 to 20.50, prairie No. 1 at 14.00 to 15.00, timothy at 15.00, clover light No. 1 at 15.00, and clover mixed light No. 1 at 14.00 to 14.50.
Minneapolis notes March 22 flour prices unchanged in carload lots with family patents quoted at 71.55 to 7.60 a barrel. Shipments reach 38 175 barrels. bran priced at 27.00.
Raw sugar remains at 4.71 with Porto Rican at 4.68 including duty paid. Refined sugar holds at 5.90 to 6.20 for fine granulated.

Hogs receipts 4500 with prices rising to a top of 12.00 and most buyers paying around 10.50. Cattle receipts 2200 with steers 8.75 to 10.75 and top 11.00. cows and heifers 4.00 to 9.25. calves 6.00 to 11.50. stockers and feeders 7.50 to 9.00. Lambs 14.00 to 15.25. ewes 6.00 to 9.60.

Mrs Charles Pinkerton of Afton spent Monday in Creston visiting friends. Mr and Mrs R W Welch of Des Moines arrived to attend the funeral of A S Dudley. Funeral services were held at 3 PM at the Baptist church. Fred Kunath left for Burlington to attend the funeral of Mrs Lago Mareino, who died Saturday in St Louis. Mrs Kunath is a niece of Mrs Lago Mareino.
Maury, formerly believed dead after Mary Vickery’s two year disappearance in Harlan Kentucky, arrived from Cincinnati to verify Connie Dabney’s life sentence for the murder. The revived Maury claims she was alive and working in a mill, prompting questions about Dabney’s conviction.

A blaze at the Air Reduction Sales acetylene plant in Bettendorf near Davenport destroys the building and 600 gas cylinders, half filled, with no loss of life due to safety fuses. Insurance covers the loss. the plant will be rebuilt at once.
The federal land bank of Omaha said it will purchase five million dollars of country grain warrants this year to insure seed grain for farmers in Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Nebraska. The announcement was made yesterday in Omaha.
