Fremont Neb March 21. A weekend storm washed out roads and left eighty two automobiles hopelessly mired in mud holes along the highway between Fremont and Valley. They were abandoned by their owners until dry weather returns.

Pittsburg March 20 United States Senator William E Crowe announced withdrawal from the race for the Republican nomination next May. Crowe, ill and hospitalized for months, said his continued ill health caused his exit from the contest to succeed himself.
Frank Kessler a well known farmer living south of Creighton was arrested Monday on a robbery charge. He was arraigned in Justice Court with a preliminary hearing set for Wednesday morning. The information alleges he demanded $35 under threat of killing and said he would cut his throat if not paid. No further details were released though officials suggested the case could become serious.
London reports Prime Minister Lloyd George will return to the house of commons on April 3 and seek a vote on the government's Genoa economic conference policy. Austin Chamberlain said the house must recognize the premier’s authority to go to Genoa.

The large barn owned by Dr. Fieckenger in Greenfield burned early this morning. One cow and some hogs perished, and about six tons of hay were destroyed. Dr. Fieckenger saved his automobile as firefighters worked to save surrounding structures.
