Crude rubber prices rose about 3 cents a pound on the New York Rubber Exchange as a $60,000,000 credit for the American Rubber Pool was announced. First hour trading totaled 2,717 tons a new high. July contracts opened at 26.80 cents moved to 28.80 cents then fell to 26.80 and recovered to 27.80. May rose from 26.30 to 28.10 and Sept from 27.10 to 28.80 with small dips. U S Rubber Goodyear and Goodrich rose four to six points while Kelly Springfield Fisk and Ajax gained smaller amounts.
