Davenport, March 16. Br. W Voelpel, Clinton Bottling Works owner, was held to the federal grand jury on $1,000 bond for illegal possession of liquor. Girl 18 Sentenced to Reform School for Statutory Charge

Fire damages West End home attic in Sunday blaze
A Sunday forenoon fire at 701 West Mills street damaged the attic and roof with an estimated 1500 dollars in losses. Sparks from a chimney are blamed. insurance covered the damage and part of the upstairs ceiling collapsed. Joe Snair was upstairs minutes before discovery. This follows another fire at 314 South Pine street two days earlier causing about 3000 dollars in damages.
