Paris reports Aristide Briand resumes the role of premier and foreign minister for the ninth time after forming a reconstructed cabinet. President Doumergue urged the move as patriotic following the defeat of the eighth cabinet on the financial bill. The lineup mirrors the prior group with M. Peret as finance minister and radical ministers replaced by ardent radicals.
Mrs D W Higbee Mrs E N Dougherty and Mrs C V Athearn left today for Des Moines to attend a board meeting of the state federation of women's clubs. Mr and Mrs G E Castin who rented the Burns home 604 West Adams street spent Tuesday at their farm 13 miles south of Creston.
Sheriff N F Fred Collings was shot while serving papers on farmer George N Gibson near Thayer. Collings died Tuesday from injuries. Authorities prepared murder charges against "Big George" Gibson as his brother says defense plans are not set. Funeral services for the late sheriff are scheduled Thursday at the First Methodist Church.
Fort Worth March 10 Secretary Jardine told the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers association that agriculture is returning to prominence among productive industries. He estimated U S cattle numbers down about 9 million since 1920 but said the industry has passed the critical stage and holds a bright future with daylight ahead as rural depopulation slows.
Indications that the bandit gang responsible for the December 14 Logan night watchman murder also blew up a Dows bank in Franklin County and obtained $4,500 are reported by officials. Juror Joseph Mooney, foreman of the jury in the murder case of Miss Anna May Dietrich, was relieved of duty. Leonard Hoepp became foreman after Mooney's removal due to a past civil matter involving the defense's law firm. Mooney claimed no acquaintance with prisoner or attorneys. trial halted after disclosure.

Miss Jessie Johnson left for Des Moines to attend the University of Commerce.
